Just thought I'd do a plug for Gary Burge's Brisbane Aspie Group on Facebook.

It's too far for me to travel (I'm in Sydney) but they've apparently had a successful meetup already. So, if you're in the approximate area and if you're interested in meeting some other aspies, have a look.

Nice to see that we are well scattered. There seems to be at least one person from every state. So far, I think we are missing someone from NT and ACT.

I'll have to try to keep this thread near the top by frequent postings. :D

I will sticky it for you, DavidF

I'm in Northern NSW. I'm new here this is my first post.

BTW I was at an aspie convention in Brisbane on August 9 and there was a lady giving a talk called Camilla, she said she belongs to this forum? Just wanted to say I enjoyed your talk very much!

G'Day all. I'm from Adelaide. Good to see I am not alone in this country and especially in this neck of the woods.

I'm actually living on a small property in north-east Victoria.....so I guess it will be almost impossible to find another Aspie near by. :(

Hey Dancyclancy,
I too am fretting - a little- at not having another adult aspie to meet up with. It's the like -meet like factor.

There's an official WP map, but I can't figure out how to make it work.

So I made a new one called "Asperger's Meet-Up." I should mention it more often around here.

There's no need to drop a pin directly on your house. It's just to let others know that you're in a general area. No one cares if you live in a tree or a library or on the roof of the nearest mall.

Melbourne, Victoria, Australia here. I've added myself to the google map one, I tried the official WP one and it didn't work.
