Hi!
I am a new member on this website. I'm an 18 year old with Asperger's (diagnosed at 9 or 10 years, I think).
My current hobbies include chess, sudoku, listening to music and reading (NewScientist, science or history books and any fiction).
A very brief introduction.
Pleased to meet you all!
Tom

:alien: <Welcome fellow Aspergian Earthoid!

You may come here with questions about the people of the planet on which you have been marooned.

We cannot guarantee the accuracy of any answers, as we do not yet fully comprehend their nature ourselves

Humans are a puzzlement.

Hi Tom. Your name interests me because there was a song i liked in late '83 called Major Tom, the singer was Peter Schilling. Also, my name is Tom (or Tommy).

Yes, I've heard that song. My name is a reference to Space Oddity by David Bowie. And I'm also called Tom :)

I have that song on Changesbowie, an album of David Bowie's greatest hits, but I haven't listened to the tape in a while

It's one of my favourite Bowie songs. Major Tom is also mentioned in 'Ashes to Ashes' another one of my favourite Bowie songs, so that's why I chose it for my name :). David Bowie's music just makes me feel happy, most of all the song 'Starman', I listen to it whenever I feel sad.

Ah, I forgot to list sudoku in my introduction :(

We were constantly doing those in our math class whenever there was nothing else to do, which was alot of the time. So eventually we started a tradition of having a sudoku race at the start of class everyday

So anyways, welcome to you as well! :)

I got that tape mainly because it has Let's Dance on it, which was a # 1 song in 1983, my favorite childhood year. It really is a good song and also makes me remember my surroundings in Spring/ summer 83. Ashes to Ashes is a good song. I also like Rebel Rebel, and Fame and Golden years. I guess all the songs on it are OK but I like some of them more than others. I also like a song not on it by him called Panic in Detroit, which uses the Bo Diddley Rhythm pattern
