My name is Stacey Kirkland and my 13 yr old son Quinn lives with autism. Quinn has the best personality in the world. He is fairly low functioning- hard to tell his cognative age, but it seems like 3 or 4yrs- very little speech. We just got a Vantage Lite Communication Device to help him communicate. He isn't all that interested in it right now. Does anybody have one? It's like a super computer for communicating. Ours is brand new. We have to learn how to program it and use it. It's a little overwhelming.

Anyhow, I want to say that I am glad there is a place for aspies and autistics to come together and talk. This is a much needed resource.
