yup, SI...sensory integration dysfunction...meaning they are either hypo or hyper stim...extra sensitive to sounds, taste, smell, textures of clothing and food etc, or not sensitive enough so they seek out the stimulation by acting out, crashing into things on purpose, jumping, spinning etc...it is associated with autistim/aspergers, being part of the 'symptoms'. it can also manifest itself all alone, without any other disorders but i think that may be kind of rare. there are things that can be done to help the sensitivities, usually these activities are recommended by a OT...thru our experience, it has helped.
