Hello Wrong Planet. I joined the forum and feel very welcome and am glad to see the amount of useful information and dialogues present here. I couldn't think of any other forum community that seems to have so much to offer. I'm surprised I didn't know about this place sooner.

I've been displaying some major symptoms of asperger's syndrome all my life but was only diagnosed at 12; I'm now 17. Anyway I just felt obliged to fill out a formal introduction so here it is.

I live in Portland too and go to two autism support groups here. You can join them when you turn 18.
I was also diagnosed at age 12 in 1997.

Yo dude I moved to Illinois a few months ago for grad school but I grew up in Portland. You're 17? What high school do you go to? I went to Lincoln.

I've actually lived in Beaverton since 8th grade but a friend close to my previous residence has a Portland address. Still in Washington county which is close south of Portland. It only take like 30 minutes to get to downtown.

hey! I am 40 miles south of Portland as well!

I haven't met another Aspie here, except one that magically appeared Autism Day at the Capitol!

Interesting. I lived in Kent, Washington (really ghetto dips**t suburb) for a few years. I've also lived in Renton and Bellevue, Washtingon, not to mention spending a lot of time in Seattle. My Aunt and Uncle live in Tacoma also and I've driven quite a lot over the major highways connecting west Washington and Oregon. I'm pretty familiar with this part of the country.
