You will find that playing a Fender Stratocaster is a bit difficult as the originals and the reissues have a 7.5 inch fretboard radius and a 25.5 inch scale length.

You may want to look into a guitar made from components, (Warmouth makes excellent components) that looks like a Stratocaster but has a 24.75 inch scale length and a 12 to 15 inch fretboard radius similar to a Gibson or a Jackson guitar.

Also, avoid the original Fender style floating Tailpiece (Tremolo Tailpiece) and stick with a Solid tailpiece instead. The Fender Tailpieces are notorious for always going out of tune. --Just my observations from previously owning a Stratocaster.

Welcome, Chloë.

It's great to hear that the animal shelter you work at has a policy specifically against euthanizing the animals it takes care of. I cringe at the thought of some poor, abandoned kitty being picked up and brought to the shelter only to be killed a few weeks later because no one wanted her.

Yeah, so many poor animals euthanized because humans didn't care enough to get animals spade or neutered nor to keep them as valuable pets/family members.

Thanks. :)

Yup, I don't like how most shelters just put down dogs because they are aggressive, then they automatically label them as "abused dogs". Take a dal (Dalmatian) for instance. These dogs, along with my breed of GSD's, are very high-strung. Especially the American bred GSD's (German shepherd dog). They have been inbred for show purposes, and also have been bred with very bad temperaments. Including my girl, Jayda (those are her eyes in my avatar, lol!). Anyway, the dogs like dals are usually aggressive towards certain things, like with food possession. Food possession is a very treatable behavior, yet so many shelters put down dogs with this problem because of supposedly not enough time/space to work with them. You don’t see them saying that when they get a dog that’s half starved to death, now do you?

The problem is that people don’t know enough about certain breeds, or just dog behavior in general! People would rather put down a trouble dog than take the time to “fix” it. We got our girl Jayda from a breeder, but at Pets Inc. (the shelter where I work), I work with socializing dogs, helping them with toy/food aggression, female aggression (females are often highly aggressive towards each other in closed spaces like shelters), etc.

Hello!

What fruit are you thinking of naming your daughter after? They're having a second child, but I don't remember what they're naming it. Yay! Someone else who enjoys the Redwall series. Have you been reading the latest books by him? I should start reading those books again. Are you planning on becoming a professional show handler? Maybe I'll see you on tv :) .

Hmm... I would name my kid "Pear". "Apple" is nice, but I like pears better anyway. 8)
I haven't read anything other than dog books in a long time... Since I got my GSD, I've been really obsessed with them. I've even annoyed some of my friends at school a lot because I'm talking about dogs so much. Heheh...
Yeah, I wanna be a well-known handler some day. I only know how to handle a few breeds right now, but I'll learn!
