yea i decided to come back recently, sadly i couldnt access my WP account OR my email! so I made a new account. SADDDLY the moderators didnt fly with it. I mentioned my problem to him how i got hacked. turns out he was the prankster all along XD

so yea im back. 16 now. no more autism oriented vids on utube anymore. some of my views have chnaged

Welcome back!

I wonder, how do the mods know if someone is/has more than one account. There are only 3 methods:

1) Person admits that they created a separate account
2) Account email addresses are compared
3) IP address access to account is compared.

The first one is just being plain stupid. The other 2 are easy to get around technology wise. I do not see any other method that the mods can use to determine if one has more than one account.

My intentions aside, I am just showing you that your methods of enforcing this particular rule has a big enough technological loophole to drive an army tank through.

It is similar to the IP ban system. To get around that, you go to another place with Wi-Fi access, create a disposable email account, create a new WP account, and then go home were 90% of the time DHCP is being used and as such, your IP address has changed. As long as you are not acting like a fool, you can get away with getting around a ban.

I say this because I would have to say that about 75% of the people on this board are people who understand how computer systems work and as such, your enforcement of the rules are as good as the technology behind the enforcement which in this case, is weak.

There will always be loopholes and workarounds; one uses the tools available to their fullest extent... and thankfully, demeus, as you pointed out - technology isn't the only method through which a duplicate account holder can be identified.
