Yesterday, I graduated from Texas State University - San Marcos with a Bachelor of Science in Geography/Urban Planning, and a minor in geology.

The keynote speaker was T. Boone Pickens, the oilman/windman. One of his grandsons was also graduating from Texas State. The choice of keynote speaker was appropriate because the geography program at my university (one of the biggest in the country) emphasizes sustainability, which includes renewable energy. And Pickens is investing in wind energy.

I am still waiting to see my final grades to see if I maintained a 3.0 GPA the whole time. The soil science class I took was a tough one, though.
