Hi everybody :)

I am new here, I have always known I was "geek" or "nerd", but after having a daughter who has been diagnosed with "possibility of PDD" at 18 months, and reading everything about aspie on the net (yeah, thousands of article), I know I have AS... I took an appointment with the greatest psy here but there's delay...

I am a male, 35yo, I have a master degree in computer science, and found a job easily 9 years ago in a telecom company, working with a team of geek/nerd and some of them are aspie for sure :)

My passion was computer of course until my late 20s, but having a GF and now a daughter changes this. I like astronomy, I have a telescope ; I like SF like star wars or star trek TOS, SF movies, SF books etc. I do not collect anything really, but I have the problem of starting a lot of thing and being 100% in it, and changing to another passion after a while, well, you know what I mean :)

BTW my primary language is french so I can make some mistake in english...

Welcome, Fred!

A lot of our more...mature...member have found out about PDDs via their children being dx'ed. My son was diagnoised PDD-NOS in January. Although I am NT (not autist) that explained a lot about my son AND a few other members of my family as well.

I look forward to reading more from you.
