Hello everyone,
I have posted a few times already, but I think that I should introduce myself before posting any more...
I am Neuron (I know, stupid name...), I am 33 yrs old male and not sure whether I'm an aspie or not. According to the online tests - AQ, rdos, EQSQ and BAP - I could be somewhere on the spectrum. My experiences are also somewhat consistent with the profile...
As a kid, I had a giant collection of rocks... and stamps, coins and astronomy books... I had the annoying habit to tell the teachers when they were wrong (and they were wrong quite often
and I often misinterpreted social cues and gave out wrong signals... I never tought of this as a real problem, because I believed that everyone is like this and simply ignored when someone told me that I am acting weird. I used to rock my body back and forth every time I read a book (does that mean anything?) and I still like to move my leg back and forth, sometimes for hours...
I have grown up since, got married and started a business... I had a job before, but I always preferred to do things on my own. I was often the only one with a different opinion on how things should be done and eventually realized that nobody will care unless I am in charge... I am not comfortable among larger groups of people. Sometimes I say something and everyone starts laughing and I have no idea why... In a larger group, I usually lose track of what is going on pretty quickly and unless everyone stays on topic, I tend to get very frustrated. Sometimes I get into a very long argument only to find out that I am reiterating the same point that nobody seems to get... I hate small talk. I understand what is it for, but still hate it...
