Hi all, Just a quick note to introduce myself and say hello to everyone.
I am a total newbie! Diagnosed with Asperger recently and have just been told by my psychiatrist that I have ADHD too!
I must admit that I am still rather confused at the moment, hence seeking comfort from this site.
I am a 32 year old girl from London (England). Currently doing a PhD and I live by myself with 3 adorable British Shorthair cats. A lot of adults on here have expressed feeling relieved after being diagnosed, I hope I will feel that way too once it's all sunk in. I am sure I will find loads of useful info on here which should help settle my mind.

Hello ASgirl, welcome,

I'm 34 and got diagnosed with Asperger's recently too.
It just takes some time to 'get used to' the diagnosis, that was my experience (didn't take long for me though).
And I am also doing a PhD, currently finishing my thesis.
What is your research about?
I studied psychology and my research is in the discipline of psychophysics; it is fundamental research, about visual perception, tactile perception and motor control.
I think doing research is really interesting and cool 8)

Good luck with your PhD!
And enjoy your stay on the Wrong Planet!

Hi Scientist, thanks for your comforting words! My research is on Corporate Governance, currently busy with all the number crunching. Not been very productive of late due to all the AS assessments etc though!
Nice to meet you!
