I have ADHD, and my wife, is most probably an Aspie. She's still waiting to get officially tested. But as is with most things of this kind - the more information is collected that clearer the picture gets. What made me join was that she joined after I had read the Housework/ cleanliness thread- this is us in a nutshell - I because of my ADHD, she, well, what's her excuse? I knew ADHD people are messy, but I had no idea Aspies are too. So...well another piece in the puzzle that is my wife and our marriage.
I am proud of her - what I have seen in other forums about spouses who threaten with divorce and what not, being angry with their Aspie Spouse - that's not me. I love her - and the main things I love about her are what makes her an Aspie. I am proud of her. How many husbands can tell their on-line friends that their wife has actually read the Geneva Conventions and Understood them to a point of being able to clarify and explain them so that people understand? Well I can and I am proud of that! Yeah, yeah, I might be drowning in yarn, knitting needles and cookie recipes, but I have warm, hand-knitted socks on my feet, special hand knitted two-fingered 'smoking gloves' and wool-hats that fit my head to perfection - and a belly full of delicious cookies
