Hello :) I say that I'm "kind of" new because I used to have a different account but I can't remember anything about it...it's been two years.

My name is Breanne! I'm 19 (turning twenty in a couple of months...which is kind of scary to me!) and I live in Alberta, Canada, in a small town called Cold Lake. Early last summer (well, technically it was late last spring--beginning of June) I got engaged to my best friend, who I love more than anything. Her name is Carley. I want to become a midwife and I'm somewhat obsessed with childbirth, breastfeeding, etc...anything to do with babies. In August I am going to take my doula course and then go to midwifery school sometime in the nearby future. Ask me about babies!

I was diagnosed as having Aspergers when I was ten years old, after a five-year long process. I am interested in visibility and people understanding about the autism spectrum.

I can't think of anything else, but if you have any questions, you can feel free to ask!

It's pretty okay. I don't feel any particular attachment to Canada, but it's a pretty good place to live. Here in Alberta it's cold a lot of the year which is not so great, but it's beautiful in the summer, especially if you move somewhere like Calgary where you can be near the mountains. Up here in Northern Alberta it's...flat and boring.

Nope. The French Canadians I've met in Alberta are nice.

Welcome back to WP, Breanne! I don't know much about babies as I don't have any. I think it's great that you're going to be a midwife, though. If and when I do have kids I plan on getting a midwife. :)

Weirdly, I've always liked babies. The only thing I don't like about little kids is when they want to climb all over you and touch you, because I don't like being touched, and when they scream, but I'm pretty good at looking after kids and they really like me, so I learned how to deal with the loud noises. (still don't like being climbed on.)

Hello Breanne :) I have delivered a couple of babies myself. But I am certainly no midwife. I was a paramedic in the USAF. I'm looking forward to seeing you in the forum. Take Care.

Taupey :)
