Hello everyone I'm new here. I'm reading the book The Guide to Aspergers Sydrome by Tony Attwood it's actually for an adult who has kids, which I don't but I can still relate to it. One of the things they recommended was having internet friends on forums so here I am. I've got to say if I had to describe me I would say I'm like an adult with the mind of a six year old. I like childish things like hello kitty, my little ponies, anime. (actually anime is sort of for adults and teens but you get the picture.) I'm really struggling with finding friends in my school I have a really hard time knowing how to start a conversation and even if I do it's hard for me to know the right time to ask for some one's phone number. I've been hurt an awful lot of times by people so it's hard for me to know who really likes me and who doesn't. Anyway I hope I can find good friends on here I'm not going to give you any of my private information though like my name or my address. The reason I put I'm a princess is because I've always wanted to be a princess ever since I can remember.

It sounds like you're learning how to be responsible for your own well being! Sorting out who really likes you and who doesn't isn't an easy or a quick process, but with effort comes progress.

Think of it like sorting out fake money from genuine cash. You're not going to become good at spotting counterfeits unless you're very familiar with what's authentic.

The reason you probably want to be a princess is because you want to be treated with respect. Just don't make the mistake of treating others as if they're beneath you, because that's just as bad as allowing others to convince you that they're better than you.

It's a pleasure to hear from you. I've always been very fond of princesses. Perhaps it is because I'm rather emotionally young as well, especially when it comes to romantic emotions. Very much an idealist, I guess. Hopefully you enjoy it here. :)

Actually I've figured out that the reason I want to be a princess so much is because I want to be loved by everyone I meet and usually princesses in anime cartoons and other cartoons and in stories are very loved. I never act like I'm above others though in fact I more act like I'm below other surprisingly I have a lot of empathy for other people which a lot of people with aspergers don't have. I always put others before myself.

Great! Glad to know you can be a princess here. May you find your rule to be a satisfying one in WP.

I can understand you wanting to be a princess, it is sort of like how when I was little I was fascinated with knights and such. Strong warriors on the battle field and Chivalrous Gentleman when at home.

Or Samurai with their Code of Honor Bushido.
