Hello. Not sure how to write the intro. (have wrote it afew times lol)

I don't have a DX of autism, although have been told afew times and suspect myself that the DX I have been given (bipolar) isn't quite spot on.

I have assisted people with an intellectual disablilty for 22 years and at least one person (and sometimes up to 6) throughout those years has had an ASD. The past two years has been spent in early intervention (Autism QLD), which is great, except for the race to the tap after sensory play (it's me or them lol)

I am from Australia (sunny CQ), I'm 42 yo. So, hello

Hi, im new and well lost! Im not sure if I have Asperger's sendrome, but I have had troble in life. I just kant seem to fit in. I fail at a lot of jobs that require me to talk to people. And I do experance a lot of the symptoms of the md web site. I am 32 and you seem to know about live.

Thankyou for your welcome Volcanic Eruptions, JetLag and Richie. I'm pleased that my not having a DX doesn't prevent me from being welcomed here. Since I'm not interested in sitting in a little room with a man I barely know, who tries to shove pills down my throat to ward away any 'symptoms', I guess I won't be getting the bipolar DX changed in the near future :lol: Lucky I'm in the right line of work, I can help myself

Lost1, I hope things start working out for you now that you know there is something out there that may answer the questions you have. There are many wonderful web sites and books (and a lot of just plain weird ones lol) that can give you some ideas on ways of changing the way you approach the simple tasks in life so the sensory overload is somewhat minimised. I was the worlds messiest person at home, but at work, I am super organised. So I took what I did at work and brought it home. I have visual clues around my home, such as a daily schedule for chores and fun. I even have a chewy tube for oral input :lol: Good luck.
