My name is Suiseiten and I wish to make your acquaintance.

I'm kinda bad about making introductory threads because I never know what to say. Basically, I'm a pretty simple person and the only diagnosis that I've received is depression and anxiety. The funny thing is that sometimes how I feel is so conflicting too. I can be tired, yet hyperactive which still shocks several people. Heck, even the idea that I actually use coffee as a sleeping aid before I use my Ambien shocked one of my friends!

I am obsessed with the idea of going to Europe and even took on two European languages in order to make this possible. I went so far as to major in French for a multitude of reasons, which included the desire not to be confused for a typical American tourist and I felt that a foreign language would actually make me more social. Although, it feels like since the diagnosis, I've been easier to agitate and I switched recently to International Studies almost on a whim just because neither of the French profs wanted to tell me which one of them was my replacement advisor.

I feel so exposed even here that I almost don't know why I am trying to create an intro thread because I tend to share either too much info or too little. Yet it feels as if the internet is a bit more freeing than in the real world. Anyhow, I really hope that I did this intro thing right; even if it may give a negative impression about who I am, it may also direct me toward what help I truly need. To those who have actually taken the time to read this, thank you.

You seem to be making a good introduction of yourself...no worries.

I used to speak French and went to France in 1989. Over the years I've lost most of my French. I would like to take a refresher course and go back someday. My brother and niece want to go. Good luck with your travels!

Yo, Suisei! Nice to see you here!

(For those who don't know, Suiseiten is my girlfriend IRL. At least I'm pretty sure, so far she's the only one I know that goes by that name online, so if this is a different Suiseiten I apologize in advance. And if this IS the real Suiseiten, weren't you supposed to PM me and let me know you joined? Ah, NP. I'm just glad you took the plunge.)

Anyways, a little backstory if no one objects: we've been dating since March of this year, and my mother thinks that she might possibly have Asperger's Syndrome (she's not a psych but after raising yours truly for 19 years she thinks she's one :P). Although IMHO I also think she does have some qualities, especially since I see a lot of myself in her. So I suggested she come here and talk to people and see if she can understand more about herself, and I'm glad that she was able to take the opportunity. I've been here for ages and Lord knows how much it's helped me.

... Am I rambling? Sorry, shutting up now. Don't mean to take the spotlight.

Welcome to WP

~K

Welcome to WP Susiseiten, I hope you make it to Europe one day soon! I see you're in the USA. I'd like to go there but the though of facing questions from immigration officials is too off putting. I know they've a job to do, but I wish they could do it to someone else and leave me alone!! !!

Yeah, I figured that I would check out things here first, but just sent you a message and everything you said is quite accurate. I even noticed it when it came to the camping trip and you thanked the robin for letting her take a pic of her. When I'm in Casper and see the deer in my backyard, I do the same thing when I can get a pic. ^^

Thanks for the welcome everyone!
