I'm not really too good at this sort of thing so here it goes. I'm a 27 year old man who is unfortunately single (despite my most valiant efforts). I was diagnosed with Asperger's somewhere in my mid to late teens. Right now I'm living in Southern Maine but I hope to move out of the state soon. I feel that people in Maine are rather authoritarian and overly conservative and don't understand me enough no matter how much they try. I was thinking that Cambridge, Massachusetts might seem like an good place for someone like me because it's an intellectual community so people down there might have a better tolerance and understanding of people like me and help me to understand myself better. Also, Cambridge is one of the most liberal cities in America (often referred to jokingly as "The People's Republic of Cambridge") so I might be able to view the world in the way I feel comfortable. Plus, it's on the border of Boston closest to Chinatown which I like because I enjoy being around Asians (I belong to an Asian American group at the college I'm currently going to). So what do you people here think, does Cambridge seem like an ideal place for an Aspie like me? Is there anyone here who's lived in Cambridge, Massachusetts who might know what it's like living down there?
