Just diagnosed

Hi guys and gals,
I've been on WP for about a month and a half now, but for some reason I didn't feel like posting an introduction until I was officially diagnosed with Asperger's (which happened today after a few weeks of assessment).
Anyway, I'm 27 years old, I'm crazy about animals (particularly the relationship between birds and dinosaurs) and languages (particularly dialects of Arabic), and right now I'm just trying to let this whole official diagnosis thing sink in. It's good to be on board :-)

It's kind of funny because I thought I was more of a borderline aspie, but the psychiatrist (an expert on AS) said that I'm quite a "classic" case, and that it's only thanks to high intelligence that I'm sometimes able to make up for the dysfunctionalities. She even said that I have good chances of getting government aid, if I choose to apply.

(for me) friends & family said ooooh, so sorry, how are you going to cure that?
