Um... hello?

Hi.
My name here is Phoros, I'm a teenager from the continental US. My parents, specifically my stepmother, have been of the opinion since I lived with them that I have Asperger's, and I'll admit (though self-diagnosis in teenagers is one of my pet peeves - I have friends who consider themselves to have anything from ADD to DID without diagnosis, and I find that frustrating) that I do display quite a few of the symptoms. Between the years of eight-ten, I put a considerable amount of effort into learning appropriate eye contact, inflection and physical behavioral tics, but I get the feeling I never quite got it right. Eh.
I hope I can learn from, and share with, the people here. Apologies if my introduction was atypically long.
