Hi everybody,

I've decided to follow net social ettiquette and introduce myself. Usually I just jump into a conversation [er- argument] and go from there but I'm guessing this community may be a little more accepting of my 'eccentricities' so hopefully I'll be like a fish in water instead of out for a change. I got here.. after a visiting a less than hospitable SM forum.. not sure what I have.. my [ex] shrink said I'm probably aspergers but I also have SM occasionally [he didn't have a clue about that] and I'm pretty gifted with the paintbrush [and sometimes poetry when the SADS hits]. My brother is also a mostly non verbal autistic [he has gained a handful of syllables.. I believe his brocas area is pretty much non existant- I hate that he's so caged in because I can see him wanting to get out], and OCD [or just being a big sister] on my part has meant I've been trying to 'fix' him for the last twenty years... the thing I did not realise was that I was trialing alot of the therapies on myself first. This has led to me being very contradictory personality wise. I am occasionally overly blunt and have a very depraved sense of humour so please try not to be offended [I'll do my best to keep it in check]. I'm also a CHRONIC insomniac [it's past 5am here in Aus] so I spend half my life trying to 'fix' my sleep pattern as well.. the irony is that it would probably fix itself if I could stop thinking for a while.. or failing that if I could come up with some actual answers. Hmm.. I'll have to think about that. I'm aslo frequently told by norms that I am 'too analytical'. I still don't know if thats a bad thing or not.
At present I am preoccupied with self expression and chiselling away the rest of my inner prison I was born into, I'm facinated with the world in and out and love the feeling when I'm able to bridge the two.

..so of course I love the name of this site.
