Hi, My son has recently been diagnosed with AS, and I am just starting to delve deeply into any information that can make his life easier.

I have to say, I am getting great inspiration and positivity from reading posts by people with AS, I just hope I can help soften his path through the minefield of school playgrounds, so he grows up to be an inspiration to others just like the people who post on these forums.

He is such an awesome kid, the most wicked sense of humour, which often gets him in trouble at school! I feel privileged to be getting an insight into your world, where I do believe that us NT's are boring, and aspies rock! So funny, interesting and intelligent!

P.s. just been to a Tony Atwood seminar. What a guy!

im from australia too, you can access medicare rebates on psychology sessions $80 back, just see a doctor, ummmm theres carers pension or disability pension(when your son turns 16) education stimulus all from centrelink dont feel guilty you pay enough tax to deserve some back and schools may offer some sort of help and of course my mum uses a reward chart to encourage good behaviour, i have a website that im using to collect ideas and opinions for the books(picture books) im writing for kids so check it out if you want http://aspie-giraffe.webnode.com/ good luck
