hello :) new here sorta

I everyone.. I'm kind of new. I had an account a few years ago but I forgot my name and password.. anyway I'm pretty sure I have some autism-related disorder. I am 29 years old, and its always been very hard for me to make friends, even now I only have one close friend and she is 61.. I have trouble making eye contact, making conversation, and recognizing faces I've seen before.. if that makes any sense. I do have my obsessions too, right now it seems to be politics/current events, and writing a novel.. I also have a bit of a speech impairment.. my "r"s sound like "w"s.. I've also suffered from depression and anxiety which caused me to be hospitalized twice in 2007... I have come a long way since then though... I am on medication, and seeing a therapist.
I have a full time job in retail and enjoy it most of the time... but sometimes even there I have a hard time making conversation.. as far as friends go like I said I only have one close friend.. I do have a few other friends but none like my best friend. Anyway, this seems like a cool place and I hope I've made some sense in my post.. lol
