i just joined too and i am feeling better already, or i tentatively feel myself move towards feeling myself again, if that makes any sense,
it is amazing to find out that there lots of people out there, who see the world a bit more like oneself does.
oh and yes, you are alone - every single person on this planet is, but we all can sometimes choose to share a bit of us and that can reduce the loneliness quite often.

Before I joined, I felt terribly alone for I'd never met anyone else like me, which had nagged me ever since I was a small child. I felt like I was in some way "wrong" or "broken", but reading the statements here, I feel much more at ease.

In what way?

In reguards to jobs. I got offered a agency job so each job id do would be with a different set off people. The morning i was due to go in i cried and sobbed and was sick, and every part of my being was soo scared to go in. This is the second time its happend and my boyfriend said he's ok and if it makes me feel so bad then i dont have to do it. But we are struggling for money and i know i should do it. And now i feel as though ive let everyone down..xxx

I see what you're saying. Wow, that reminds me of the "school anxiety" I used to have. I'm sorry you're going through that.

Maybe you could find a job that requires less social interaction, like stocking items at a store or data entry.

Keep looking--something will be available that will be suitable. I'm glad your boyfriend is being supportive. Don't feel bad--you'll get through this.
