Hi everyone, I am new here (hence the subject). I have considered posting in a couple threads, but I thought it prudent to make an introductory post first. I am really not sure how detailed of a post is standard, so I will try to keep it fairly short.
To start, I have not been diagnosed with any ASD, but the past month or so I have been reading up on Aspergers. I was diagnosed at a young age with panic disorder. I am now fairly certain it was a misdiagnosis, and that the panic attacks I suffered were a symptom of two things: My abusive, mentally ill brother; and my inability to understand certain expectations of society. Anyway after reading more about AS, I feel like it describes me very well. For what its worth, I took the online tests stickied and all of them alluded to the possibility of AS. The only score I have on hand is the Aspie-quiz, on which my scores were: Aspie 155 of 200; Neurotypical 43 of 200. I hope the punctuation in this paragraph is correct, I did not attend the majority of my middle school English classes. As a result, I am unfamiliar about some certain rules regarding grammar and punctuation. I did graduate middle/high school, if my previous statement made is unclear.
On to a lighter note my interests float between technology, philosophical pondering, history (depending on subject), and the occasional video game depending on when it is. I want to clarify that last one, I enjoy video games immensely unfortunately most modern games do not meet my standards(or tastes), thus I only find the occasional title I play. Oh and I forgot to mention music.
I'll end with a non-inclusive list containing some of my favorite games/bands (in no particular order)
Starcraft (PC)
the Halo series (Xbox)
Runescape (PC)
Eve Online (PC)
