I been silent here for a few months so I feel the need to introduce myself again. I am not a real Walrus, but I love the Beatles song "I am the walrus". I am from the Netherlands, hence the crappy english. Yesterday I received my diagnosis: Asperger/ADD/Gilles de la Tourette, which was not a huge surprize (except the Tourette) but still a bit shocking.

Next thing to do is find help/support/coaching to get back on my feet. I need medication for the sensory overload issues but the Tourette seems to make that tricky.. Well at least I know why I am so different from most other people.

I like the Beatles, too!

Hello. I got Tourette syndrome too! I denied it for about two months after I was diagnosed! I swear a lot so I am a bit of a 'media' Tourette sufferer...

I have the tendency to deny the Tourette as well. The ASD part was very, very clear. I do not fully understand why it was necessary to diagnose me with Tourette as well. (I do swear a lot although I hate swearing and I have other vocal peculiarities and a few tics, but its not causing as much grief as the ASD stuff.) Maybe it is a normal thing to deny Tourette, I wasn't very happy with ASD either when I first discovered I might have it.

I like The Beatles, almost as much as The Kinks. Welkome back to WP.
