Yeah, this is pretty much another generic introduction thread.

Uhm, I'll just go ahead and introduce myself a little bit then.
I'm 19 and I've been certain that I've got Aspergers for.... 4 years now? But I haven't been officially diagnosed because I'm absolutely terrified of meeting new people, even now I'm sweating in an anxious fear.

I'm a keen football fan, I support Liverpool FC for no reason at all except that I thought they had a cool kit at the time and my latest super-intense interest is in bodybuilding.

The reason I'm so sure that I've got Aspergers is my previous mentioned social failings, the interest in very unusual or 'wierd' things and the fact that if I didn't have anyone checking up on me, I'd probably die of starvation, I'm not independant at all and I'm really struggling to find any sort of support network? I guess.

Well, I don't know what else to say, please ask anything you want about me and thanks for reading I guess.

The sheer stress of being an aspie in wonderland can be crushing. With a diagnosis and the care of an enlightened professional and a supportive peer group that could be replaced with hope. Go for it.

Do you have siblings? Parents?

Thanks for replying :)

Well, I don't get on with my dad, my mum lives in New Zealand, my sister teaches English in Japan and my brothers too busy doing his Physics at uni, my Nan lives about an hour away and thats really the only family I have in England.
Apart from that I've got few friends that I see cause, most of the time I avoid people and just stay away from any possible social interaction...

I didn't know there was any forums dedicated to this type of stuff until I saw this forum linked onto Wikipedia's Aspergers page.

I've got an appointment to see my GP this Friday so I guess, I could bring up getting a 'proper' Aspergers diagnosis?

Welcome. I've seen a few people around here who share your interest in bodybuilding, and there are loads of people who share your aversion to social interaction. So jump right in, the people are very understanding and helpful.

By the way be careful of some of those bodybuilding supplements they can wreak havoc on your mood. I had a boss who was into that and his testosterone pills turned him into a jerk.

Thanks for the warm welcomes :)

It's cool, I'm sticking to whey and protein, no testosterone.
