I just want to say i am so glad to be here - its a great site and wish i had found it sooner.

Why am i here? I have a toddler with ASD! They told me at his diagnosis that he would never be independent, never get married, possibly never talk! and a whole heap of negative stuff that he would never do. In fact they said if i was going to have more children i should focus on them! They never told me what a fascinating, unusual, intelligent little boy he would become...and he is already chattering away so a big two fingers up to those dreary negative doctors in the uk. So i am here to learn. Simple.
