Hello, everyone here. I go by the alias nemowsz on the internet. I am from Asia and I think I have AS or something similar but I'm not entirely sure myself. Can anyone please help?

Below is a little about myself. I'll try to make this quick.

I'm 14(turning 15 in a couple of days), female. I apparently have this weird accent when I talk. It seems to be a mix of different accents from everywhere. I assume this is the influence from the internet. Some people I know and talked with commented it sounds Australian/Brazil/Swedish. I often get mistaken for a foreigner too. I speak rather at a monotone style when socializing.

In school, I often find myself freezing up when I want to interact with someone. It is hard to make friends for me. I DO want to make friends, but I feel uneasy about the idea itself. I get really uncomfortable if someone I don't know too well starts to get too close to me. I will cut the conversation instantly and turn heels. I also cannot maintain eye contact unless I force myself to. For some reason I feel as if the eyes I look into are empty. It's unnerving.

At home, I feel at peace, but occasionally, if my mother invites strangers, I will always peek out and try to interact with them. In the end, this only ends up with me saying a simple 'Hello' and nothing else. Same thing applies to my older sister. It's like some sort of selective muteness. She does ask why I act like so.

Right now I only have 1 close friend which I can talk non-stop(although I try to limit myself) about my fascination with technology and games, which she does comment that I repeat often.

One thing I cannot cope is when my school holds me back for extra-lessons or extra-curricular activity. I would be very, very uncomfortable to the idea itself, and my only motivation to force myself to keep going is to look forward to home. Camp is where this issue of mine turns from irritation to torture hell.

Sounds like a baby's cry, dog's bark, engines and airplanes irritates me. I'm not really sure why myself. I learn things rather quickly, memorize fact rather easily as compared to most of my classmates. However, things that I am genuinely not interested in gets forgotten in a matter of hours (Eg. someone I regard as a stranger's phone number, things I don't want to do).

I often find myself focusing rather intensively on the things I do, like playing RPG games or listening to music. I can get focused to the point that I tune EVERYTHING out.

I enjoy playing games, reading a book, looking up on various information and hording various things. I'm also curious about medical related articles, and I do things on a whim.

I hope this is enough information but not too much. I look forward to future discussions with the WrongPlanet community. Typing this whole thing out is extremely awkward for me. Please go easy on me.

P.S I have been lurking for a couple of hours here and have done some tests which I have found on other threads. Namely the Aspie quiz where I got a Aspie score of 126, a neurotypical (non-autistic) score of 70 and on the EQ/SQ test where I got 11 for EQ and 90 for SQ. I hope this extra information helps a little.

Yes, it seems that you're on the autism spectrum. I can relate to a lot of these things. Welcome.

Thank you. I'm glad I'm not alone on these things.

Nice to meet you, nemowsz - and welcome to the Wrong Planet community. It seems to me that you may fall somewhere on the Asperger's spectrum.
