Hi! I've already posted a few times in other parts of the forum, but I thought I should probably introduce myself here as well. I'm an Aspie--I was diagnosed when I was 9, so that's 8 years ago now. However, my case is moderate to mild and most people would probably just think I'm a "normal" weird guy.
A bit about myself. I live in Atlantic Canada (I'm not giving any location more specific than that) and have lived here all my life. I'm in my final year of high school, which I've rather enjoyed. I love science, especially (as my username suggests) astronomy. I enjoy reading and playing the piano in my spare time. Occasionally I try (and mostly fail) to write science fiction. I am a huge fan of musical theater, especially the shows Wicked and Chess. Most of you wouldn't have heard of the second one, but it's a rather obscure musical from the 80's about the Cold War and politics influencing the world chess championships. Look it up on YouTube if you're interested.
Although life is pretty good for me, I still sometimes feel very alone in the world. For instance, when I was at a rehearsal today for my school musical, I was the only one not talking to the other cast members as we were being assigned spots on stage. Also, I realize sometimes that I view the world very differently than other: I am rational, scientific, cynical, realistic, and yet at the same time border on being a socialist. I dislike people in the broad sense and have trouble trusting anyone who appears to be really nice (all of my friends are either a bit unusual or can be moody--I feel as though friendly people aren't genuine).
But I think that's enough for now of my idiosyncrasies... So I'll just end by saying, "Hi Everyone!"
