introduction

Hi. I've been lurking off and on for a few weeks, so I thought I would introduce myself so I can post if I want.

I'm here because I think there is a huge possibility that I have AS or some sort of ASD. I never considered it before because I've had some misconceptions about AS and autism in general. One day I was browsing the internet trying to figure out what my problem is. I came across some descriptions of what it's like to grow up with AS. I was shocked, because they were describing MY childhood. I had always felt like I was the only one, so reading about these people with such similar experiences to my own was very emotional for me.

So anyway, that's where I'm at. I've been researching ASDs since then, and the more I learn the more likely I think it is. I'm having some real difficulties in my life right now, and I'm hoping that I'm heading in the right direction.
