I was diagnosed before it was cool. Over the years I have done a rather impressive job of learning the heuristics neurotypicals acquire naturally, even if I don't often bother employing them. This has not, however, prevented me from facing frequent financial instability, relationship problems, and all manner of other annoyances that accumulate into a general misanthropism.

I've come across this site over the years, but only joined today after binge-reading through the archives. I decided that after a few decades autodidactically learning social cues, I may as well relax and find out what others have discovered. Mach's economy of thought in action.

Hopefully I will be able to contribute as much as the forum will aid me.
