I believe I had an account here once, but I have now forgotten everything about it except that it was the means by which I made a friend from Finland for a short time. It has been about four years.
Hmm... where to start? I suppose...
well, I was told I was an Aspie in about eighth grade by a psychologist; previously my eccentricities had been thought to be signs of ADHD or just me being very unusual. The facts that I only began to walk about a year after most children and insisted heavily upon routine probably should have been a clue in the other direction.
I love structured time, but lack any ability to structure it for myself, and will lose count of the hours amusing myself if left alone. Unfortunately, that is also how I prefer it.
Sarcasm seems to come more easily to me than most of us, which I attribute to having grown up in a family of snark. It doesn't stop me from being otherwise socially awkward to the point of becoming immobilised when it is clear that I am meant to take the helm of a conversation once the "hello"s and "how are you"s have gone by, and failing to understand plenty of colloquialisms despite having a talent for linguistics.
I suspect that reading has been my special interest all my life, but I cannot claim to know what I shall do with that, for though writing novels sounds lovely, creating worlds is much easier than writing stories about them...
