I have a question for you but not about you... about NTs in general, if you'll humor me.

During my graduation ceremony from college a female office worker shook hands with everyone congratulating us. Afterwards my peers called me a "boobs man". I believe this is because I looked down at her hand so I knew where to place mine to shake it and the other students assumed I looked at her chest. Am I correct in this assessment? Do most people not look at the other person's hand when they shake it? How do they know where to place their hand if not? This confuses me. Things like this happen all the time to me. I don't understand it.
