New here. :)

I was diagnosed with mild AS when I was young. Fortunately, it's fairly mild...I've gotten better at social interaction as I've gotten older.

See you around the forum!

G'day (wave)

For me, having mild AS (if that's what I do have) that I've managed (arguably) to more or less cope with myself has - in spite of a superficial at least "normal" life - nonetheless been like getting around with an asspack full of grenades that I simply didn't know was there. Other people have evidently been able to tell - so explains certain things - and every now and then one has actually detonated but I've STILL had no idea WTF was going on.

Now I know that asspack is there - so for a start altho I'd already come to understand that (figuratively speaking) jumping about or laying face down in the sun could have bad consequences for me - now I know why. With a definition of my situation I feel much clearer about what range of movements and actions (figuratively) I can safely make and if I have to make dangerous ones then I at least know WHY my ass ends up sore (figuratively) - which is something of a comfort - but it still hurts.
