My Doctor told me yesterday that she thinks I get diagnosed for aspergers. I don't have the money to do that right now and don't know whether it will help much at all. After talking to my wife about it she told me that she was not surprised to hear that I might have aspergers. I guess I will tell you more about myself although this is very awkward:

I hate crowds and avoid them as much as possible. Meeting new people seems to be a waste of time. My job forces me to meet people and also speak in public. It takes me hours to prepare for this and more time to decompress afterwards. Also I have always been fine hugging and showing affection to my immediate family but when others do it I start to cringe. My mother in law does tries to hug me all the time and I hate it so much.

I have an obsession with comic books to the point of thinking about them all the time. I get extremely upset if I can't get to the comic shop at 8:30 am every Wednesday. I love my kids but my wife tells me I talk logically to them even when they are to young to understand what I am saying. Plus I hate there crying and how much noise they make.

I also have seizures and a tremor. When I was young the physical therapists thought that there was something wrong with me but didn't have a diagnosis. I think there were other signs all through my life but since I didn't fit any if the outward stereotypes I always thought it was something else.

I am 32 and am married with 3 kids. I live in Phoenix and work preparing people for marriage. I primarily work from home although I do have to go to the office twice a week which is unproductive as it is so busy there.

I have some friends here but they are more my wifes friends who I met when I moved here from Canada. I love music primarily rock but like all types.

Welcome to Wrong Planet!

You might consider going to a local Aspie Support group.

Thanks to all go welcoming me here.

I think I may look into a support group although I will need to look into finding one in the area. I may also puck up a book to read on aspergers although I have found a fair amount of information online.
