I just joined today. I was diagnosed around a year ago with Asperger Syndrome and Major Depressive Disorder (Seasonal Affective Subtype.) I'm currently 21 years old and trying to get an associates' degree in computer engineering. My main hobbies are PC gaming, building computers, CPU & GPU overclocking, Linux and fish keeping. I'm very meticulous about my computer equipment and get very stressed if I change something or when a program or the OS gives an error. When it comes to social interaction, I am very selective about the amount of people that I talk to and am unusually introverted. So introverted in fact, I was almost labeled as a Schizoid. Although I'm detached from other people on the external level, I'm constantly enthralled with the thought of lifelong romance. Unlike other children, I wasn't interested in team sports or pop-culture. This has made me a social outcast and a loner till this very day.

I am from N.C too and am new. I'm happy I have found this site to find people who are similar to me. I can definitely relate to the social interaction, however, I have gotten better with my social skills where nobody can really tell that I have some sort of problem. And schizoid is something I though I had too. I've been thinking about romance stuff related. I've never been serious or interested in romantic stuff until recently (like in the past couple years; I'm 25); I'm just worried I'm not gonna be good at it or something and be "too distant" or whatever.
