Hello everyone! I am Beaux (pronounced "Bo"). I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome at age 7 and have never fit in with the rest of society, as my philosophies and tastes have always heavily deviated from the norm. I am currently 15 years old, though I am generally considered quite mature for my age, and I hate pop music and even most contemporary pop culture. My favorite genre of music is classic rock (particular favorites include The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Beach Boys, The Traveling Wilbury's, and more), though I also listen to some modern music such as They Might be Giants, blur (purposely lower-cased, as that is how the name is stylized), Gorillaz, Weezer (Blue album and Pinkerton), and Fleet Foxes. I can't stand most rap, country (though I have never listened to the classics and I know even most modern rock sucks), or pop.
My taste in games is even more varied, though, with some particular favorites of mine being the Shin Megami Tensei series (I only have Persona 3, and I'm still working on beating it, but it is one of my all-time favorite games), Sam & Max (Couldn't ya tell?), anything by Double Fine, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Okami, Mass Effect, Street Fighter, Mario, Kirby, BlazBlue, LittleBigPlanet, and Final Fantasy (IV and VI).
Authors I like include Arthur C. Clarke, J. R. R. Tolkien, Douglas Adams, and Terry Pratchett. I don't really watch much movies or TV, but recently (within the past month), my love of JRPG's and a friends interest in getting into anime have started converting me. Princess Mononoke is one of my all time favorite films (right up there with Star Wars, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and The Lord of the Rings), and I have also watched and enjoyed Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro. Miyazaki sure knows how to make a film! I am not regularly watching any individual series, but I am using Netflix to sample various anime. I have also read the first 3 volumes of Fullmetal Alchemist and am reading volume 1 of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. I am also interested in getting into western comics but the huge backlog inherent to the genre is keeping me away. I'm probably just going to get Ultimate Spider-Man.
Well, I have created a wall of text and everyone who manged to stick around this far already deserves a cookie, so I suppose that's it! (Although it's inevitable that I forgot something...)
