Hello. I am 20 years old, was diagnosed as having mild Aspergers' when I was four or five, I live in Texas, do not have a job (as of yet), and live with my father. I am a avid reader concerning subjects that grasp my interest. Philosophy and political history among them. I am very sensitive but I am not a fool to show it in front of a large amount of people, I rarely indulge my emotions except when I am alone, or listening to music while I am alone, and I do not see emotions as the enemy of reason. Both can back each other up, both can be balanced in my view. I think tradition is meaningful so long at is useful and adheres to my sense of universal ethics (no murder, everyone is an individual, that sort of thing). I have a dislike of arrogance in authority figures. A badge proves nothing, and I cannot stand the military mentality.
On a cognitive functions test at PersonalityCafe I recently took, I got INTJ as my most likely Jungian type, INFP as second most likely, with ISTJ as third most likely.
The music I listen to is varied, Dead Can Dance (their solo works as well, especially Lisa Gerrard), 1960s folk protest (Phil Ochs, Pete Seeger, Dylan), Pink Floyd, film soundtracks, Wings (yes, Paul McCartney), John Lennon, George Harrison, not much of Ringo.
Books I've read: Ayn Rand's works (though I admire her for her individualism, I am not an Objectivist), Albert Camus, Friedrich Nietzsche (no, he was not a proto-Nazi, that was his sister), Charles Baudelaire, J.K. Rowling, George Orwell, J.R.R. Tolkien, Noam Chomsky, Chris Hedges, Howard Zinn, Dr. Michio Kaku, Brian Greene, Carl Sagan, Dr. Fritjof Capra, Fred Alan Wolf, Clifford Pickover, Ted Rall, Emerson, Thoreau, some of Richard Feynman, one of Philip K. Dick (VALIS), Allen Ginsberg, Stephen King's On Writing, William Blake, Marcus Aurelius's Meditations, a copy of my high school's Philosophy text book I got for Christmas, Douglas Adams' Hichhikers' Guide to the Galaxy, yeah. I'm a very left-of-center person. I also write poetry sometimes.
I'm not good at introductions.
I've just noticed that the style of this forum is almost the same as the Lisa Gerrard discussion board's.
