Hi my name is Chris, if you ever play Second Life, I'm Katronix Serf, the only Katronix in the game last time I looked, so easy to find.

For most of my life, I wondered why the rules that everyone else seemed to know instantly were never available to me. Also, felt like I was in a play, and everyone knew thier lines while I was making it up as I went along.

I've recently taken some online "Auspie Tests" and came back with interesting results.

The test at http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/9.12/aqtest.html I scored a 27, while it says most people who have it with out a doubt scores a 31.

The test at http://www.rdos.net/eng/Aspie-quiz.php gave me the score of following:
Your Aspie score: 104 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 80 of 200
You are both Aspie and neurotypical

Would be very intersted to know what these mean, if anyone can shed more light on them.

Thanks,

Kat

Welcome to WP.

Its hard to say what all those tests really mean, especially those that give you some kind of NT score and aspie score - like there is any way to quantify it! There are all sorts of ways people learn the rules and score differently at different times of their lives. Also, no aspie is the same or reacts in the same way. It is really about a whole picture of a person, not answers to a test.

What they do tell you is that maybe you should look into it. You can read up a little more and decide wether you want or need to have further evaluation from a professional. This is a good place to find advice about that and to learn about other the experiences of other aspies.

At 108/200 I was feeling like the lowest scoring aspie here, so I'm really glad you came along.

I talked to my Mom today, and I guess a while ago she had done some looking into AS, and said she saw me written all over it.

So perhaps I should change myself to Yes I have it, undiagnosed?

Does anyone here know if they ever offer free testing to people in the Los Angeles area for adults to see if they have AS? Or where would I go look for this kind of info?

thanks,

Kat

Welcome to Wrong Planet, Kat!

Whoever made the test should correct this. Either you have Asperger's or you don't; adding that you can at the same time be neurotypical is both contradictory and diminishing of the reality of the Asperger's condition.

Perhaps it means I'm not austistic, as the two aren't the same.

I got dangerously close to NT in that one, with only a few points making me an aspie.

Anyway, welcome and glad you found us :D
