My name is Sophie and I was recently diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, though I suspected I had it for a while now. I joined because I am interested in meeting other people with Asperger's or another PDD. :)

Sweet! Now you just have to wait until Tim_Tex and hyper_alien to say "Welcome to WP" and your initiation will be complete!

I've got AS as well, am stuck on the spit of land known as New Zealand (and lovin' it!), and am only 16 years old!

Really? Cool. Due to my AS, I actually feel more like a 14 year old, which may be linked to why I feel that 1999 was only two or three years ago! My mum knows that I'm using these boards, but I don't think she actually knows what I'm saying here!

I have a personality of a 6 year old. I am from California, unfortunately.

Sometimes I wonder whether or not my 14 year old sister has AS as well. She's constantly on Neopets, eats the seeds leftover from my microwave popcorn, and one time she couldn't say a single sentence without including the word 'cheese'!

Hi welcome to WP. How did you find out about AS before your diagnosis?

its ok to have a young personality. i think it keeps things interesting for the "more mature"( ) people.

I was just starting to become obsessed with psychology, and I started memorizing the DSM V book that my mother has. I stumbled across it and I realized I had a lot of the symptoms.

Wish I had the chance to do that... maybe you should stay with the obsession of phsycology (is that how you spell it? correct me if I'm wrong), because maybe then we can get a proper phsycologist who actually KNOWS a lot about AS!

I am enjoying it here very much! I don't feel so out of place here like I do everywhere else.

Wrong Planet for me is like a bach on a beach down south. You go there every so often and hang out and feel like you're at home! Anything you wanna talk about? I'm a bit bored right now...

yeah i used to feel like i was 12 between the age of 10 and about 20. id even be surprised when someone asked my age and i reasoned for a while and was like 8O ! !...im allready that old..i forgot about that.
but it has caught up almost to my real age by now. im 23. and im happy it did, i hated feeling 12 when i was much older.
