Hey, I'm new . My name is Jeff. I'm male, aged 17, Canadian and I'm here for self-discovery basically.

I quite sure I have AS but I'm undiagnosed. I only discovered and researched AS (on wikipedia) after I read "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" which I now think is inaccurate about AS. I've been browsing the forums for a couple of weeks so I could just observe to see if I really had it. I had a full-night of me saying 'that's me' to similiarites between AS and me.

My interests include comedy, music, philosophy, programming(in C), environmentalism, math, physics, wikipedia, ww2, and tanks. I've been particularly interested in Monty Python and The Simpsons for awhile. I also am obsessed in Alice in Wonderland currently, for some reason, hence the username.

I also have panic disorder, maybe, or just a lot of panic attacks caused by excessive caffeiene(i used to drink 3-4 nesteas a day), I'm not sure but they are always brought on by social aspects.

My sig is just an anti-consumerist/environmentalist quote by an unknown author. I thought it was very true so I put it their.

Looking forward to chatting!

keeping to "non-hey thing" hola!
A Curious Incident is pretty textbook AS and i found it kind of plain and solid. The man who wrote it doesn't have AS(he just studied it) so you can't expect much.
i'm also kinda interested in monty python and the simpsons among other things.
hope you like it here! is this the first AS website you've been to?

Bonjour!

"We are the Knights Who Say, 'Ni!'"

"Three wars back we called Sauerkraut "liberty cabbage" and we called liberty cabbage "super slaw" and back then a suitcase was known as a "Swedish lunch box." Of course, nobody knew that but me. Anyway, long story short... is a phrase whose origins are complicated and rambling..."

How about "all reet"? That might only work in Lancashire though. You might sound a bit ridiculous if you tried that on anywhere else if you didn't have the accent to go wi' it.

Hi and welcome to WP Jeff.

I can relate to the caffeine intake. I used to drink way too much coffee during my years of study and had a few heart palpitations as a result. Now I drink too much tea :) ! There's currently a drinking survey here in the UK in regard fluid intake and autism. It seems we tend to drink too much or too little! Hope you enjoy it here.

What is the average airspeed velocity of a One-Winged-Angel?

welcome. I find it very interesting that you have been recently obsessed with alice in wonderland, since this has always been a childhood favorite of mine. In addition to that, I have just recently watched the disney version. I wonder how many "similarities" and "interests" are shared between the users. I mean this as in "coincidentally" not just mentioned.

How was the book? did you find any similar characteristics to what you have?

Welcome to WP dude! I've read Curious Incident as well, and there are things that I can relate to. While I partly-semi-kinda-don't agree on your inaccuracy theory (although I can understand why, even if I don't know why I do), don't worry about it. I'm writing a story where a princaipal character has AS, and I'm hoping to get it published one day (check out the Art, Writing and Music forums, then look for the 'A sample of my story' topic to get a few snippets of it).

I'm only 16 years young, and although I was diagnosed with a semi-mild case of AS when I was 10, I began to acknowledge it about three or four months ago, shortly before joining here myself. When I did begin to get interested in it and comparing it to my experiences, I went 'Oh, so THAT'S why!', and it was all a really fun experience (I haven't had an abused childhood as some of the other users have). I hope you enjoy posting here, I know I have!
