I'm a 43-year old unemployed accountant. I was diagnosed with Asperger's about 18 months ago. I have three cats who are convinced that it is feeding time; they are wrong.
My interest are: sports, particularly ice hockey and baseball, with a growing interest in cricket; music, most intensely prog rock but covering many genres; science fiction novels, though there is very little tv or movie SF that I like beyond Firefly; history, particularly military and economic; math and statistics; and organizational processes.
I'm divorced and haven't had a job in six years. I had a complete nervous breakdown from the stress of working as an options trader. My wife walked out about six months later, which I found pretty galling. I have since acquired a Master's of Accountancy, but I haven't found anyone who will let me use it to help them yet.
I'm depressed and lonely, and I'm here in hopes of making friends. Online friends may be a poor substitute for those that are physically present, but it's a start.
