Hi, my name is Laura, I'm 22 and I live in Florida. I'm undiagnosed so far, but I'm not the only one who thinks I'm an Aspie in hiding. My AQ score was 42, if that says anything. I'm also Schizoaffective.
More than that, I'm a student, studying to be an occupational therapist for kids with mental illness and autism. I am also a nanny, to a 17 month old boy, a four year old girl, and a seven year old girl with severe autism. I love my job and wouldn't trade it for anything. Before working for this family, I waitressed for three years in an overnight diner.
I can't think of what else to say without feeling self-obsessed or embarassing myself by prattling on. So I'll end it here.
