it wouldn't just go away...

Yeah, I love that song. Anyways, I'm Ali, 20 years 1 month and 26 days old (Yes I care about such precise numbers). I originate from southern Canada, northern Ontario, on the border of Canada and USA, but I "recently" (last July) flew out to Australia to live with my long-distance boyfriend and his family.

I am a singer, artist, and writer. My music collection includes probably 20-ish songs I've written myself, and about 10 songs I've composed the guitar and/or ukulele lines of. I'm passionate about helping others, dealing with children, and making the world a better place. I draft as a hobby, grid paper and pencil or by mapping it out on some other program on a half-dead windows laptop. I've considered making a career out of it, but I don't really know if I wanna take on a full proper job, or be full-time soccer mom and caregiver to my future children -- human and cat alike.

I've been married to the feline species my whole life, and have a dream of one day raising and breeding the beautiful creatures I've been studying almost non-stop about. I've spent all but one year of my life with cats (in that one-year period I had a rabbit instead), and about 30 months after my first cat's death (he was half bobcat half farm-cat, 11 years old roughly), our new cat had kittens. It was the time I truly fell head-over-heels for the creatures, being able to help nurture and care for these defenceless balls of fluff, and the same with her second litter only a few months later.

I've been steadily working at writing my own stories and books for years, even had a couple failed comics in primary school. My current project (with the assistance of my fully-normal boyfriend) is a two-book novel series, with potential for further writing. I'm in love with my characters, cats, and above all else, my boyfriend <3 If it weren't for his undying devotion to helping me accomplish anything I wanted to, I might well have given up on this story. I'm currently working on part I and II at the same time.

I was developmentally delayed as a child, missing most of the critical periods in my delayed state. For years my parents thought I was autistic; then school thought I might be AD(H)D, but it was clear to everyone except me that I had AS, atleast from accounts I've heard in the last day or so from friends and family. My father is more than likely an Aspie as well, he has high knowledge of very limited interests and the same social difficulties as me. I was bullied for my problems as a child, and ignorant to it in highschool -- while all my teachers and peers were well aware of my condition, I was in denial of any sort of problems. Friends even almost fought for me because people were making fun of my weirdness which I didn't even notice.

So yeah, I think there's most of my life's story right there xD I met a guy on an online community of one of my strong interests, and I wanna spend my life with him now (:

If you want to contact me, PM me and I -might- share my MSN name. Maybe.

Oh I love to read. I was just never too good at writing bit perhaps it would be fun to try again. And I ALWAYS had cats growing up. My dad used to "rescue" them so we once had about 29 cats in our basement, which my father would feed and take to the shelter. He found a lot abandoned on the streets.

I'm a bit of a bookworm myself :P Get that from both of my parents, reading is their closest relationship aside from each other. Writing is a good outlet for frustrations and sadness I find, some of my best songs have been inspired by my pains and sadness.

Aww, I wish my cat-upbringing was like that (: I was actually voted in high school as "most likely to live in a house with 30 cats" a couple years ago xD If my boyfriend was more of a cat person, that COULD have become the case, but as it is once we have our own place it'll be a decent challenge for him to allow the few cats I want (and am probably going to spend minimum $500 a kitten on) xD

I'm more of a happy-go-lucky person than anything, but I also have difficulty controlling my emotions. When my boyfriend first broke it to me that I definitely had Asperger's, I bawled.
