Hello...I am interested in sharing on more than shoes.
...I have found many many positive aspects to my Aspergers. Namely I have been able to sort the wheat from the chaff in relation to the people I want to be with.... and who I want to talk to....
I have taken a while to get used to the validation that I am "different"..I prefer to think of my self as unique in a way that is not from an ego point of view..the simple fact is..there really is NOT anyone exactly like me.
I am able to cut to the chase and get things done with a minimum of fuss while others seem to dither around
talking about the "what, when and How" of whatever the issue is
Definite plus in life!!
I have really trod on the toes of some people who have retaliated over the years and now don't even try to work "with" them...I tell people I have Aspergers asap..the usual answer --IF they have a little knowledge of it is.."Oh you don't look like you have autism"
What am I supposed to "look" like??
I simply smile now and leave them to it...I live a quiet life now..I don't exhaust myself trying to "fit" in..It has lessened the stress and meltdowns enormously!
I have found I too have very little common with women my age.
