What are three other things about me?

1. I'm a total pop culture junkie with a broad vocabulary of references, cultivated good taste, and an appointment with my T.V. tonight for a double dose of Game of Thrones and Mad Men.

2. I'm diagnosed with Aspergers though or a variety of reasons, most pertaining to effective advocacy (a passion of mine), I identify as 'an autistic person' not an 'aspie' or a 'person with Autism/Aspergers'.

3. I've eschewed the traditional college experience for online classes and backyard chickens.

4. **BONUS ROUND**
I'm excited to talk to some new people and have some great conversations about Autism with people who actually understand.

Hi ExcitinglyOpaque ! Just reading your intro post now. It's so cool to me to talk to adults on the spectrum because they have a totally different perspective on what people like us are capable of.

Whelp, seems as though I've done something wrong already, loner of loners, autistic of autistics, silly me.

What do you mean you did something wrong? most people on here are socially awkward, and overly cautious in some ways. I plan to try to watch game of thrones from the beginning soon. I could tell you what happens in every episode of the office and the big bang theory

Big Bang Theory is a total guilty pleasure for me. Have a written screeds about it's portrayal of Sheldon (who is clearly meant to be autistic)? Yes. Do I lock the doors, close the blinds and laugh through an episode every week? You betcha'
I can't recommend GoT highly enough. Have you read/considered reading the series?

I had forgotten that it was based off of a book. Haven't really thought about it. I read a lot though

I really enjoyed the books. As a fellow Orson Scott Card fan you should trust me.
