Yeah, it's a good feeling, isn't it?

Once you have an explanation for why you are bad at certain things, you can stop your futile attempts to become better at them, and instead you can go "Well, I'm bad at these things, and I'm good at these other things. How can I structure my life in such a way that I exploit my good points and avoid my bad points?"

I spent my whole life trying to act normal, and work really hard trying to think of topics to talk to people with. How I should say it, and everything about socializing. I tried REALLY hard and always thought I am just f****d up in the head.

Hi Powerrangers! Welcome to Wrong Planet! Check out the interesting and helpful articles and forums here. You are among friends here at WP! :D

It was a tremendous relief when I found out I have Asperger's Syndrome. Not knowing why I am so different from most people was very stressful. Now that burden has been lifted, and I understand why I am the way I am. That helps me cope with it better. :D

I always thought I was stupid at anything that was non-mathematical, especially trying to socialize and communicate my ideas. I am socially crippled, but now I think I might have the reason of why it might be.

I am brand new to this all, too, and aside from the inevitable preoccupation with it that I now have, I do feel uplifted and somehow freed. I finally found a club in which I actually belong!

I hope it's okay that I posted in somebody else's welcome thread.

Yes, it is a very odd feeling to be belonging for a change.

Just remember, even though you know why your bad at something, that's no reason to try and not be better.

Aspergers/Autism is a part of you, not all of you.

It's not an excuse.

Other than that, welcome to wrong planet.
