Well. I don't really know where to start. I'm a 30-year-old woman with Asperger's. I was diagnoised at age 24. I've been trying to find a support group and a companion (besides my Mama and dog). I'm from Georgia and there is nothing in terms of support or get together groups here. Mostly, I face a lack of understanding from people in general and I'm not a very social-like person. But I do have family and friends, and church family and dance family whom I love, just nobody in generial to just, hang out with outside of organized functions. Such as going to lunch, watching a movie, going to a community festival with, etc. I do have a job, working in child education (although I'm usually asided to the kitchen, laundary, and watering planets and other cleaning) While I do love that part, I'd rather spend alot more time interacting with the children alot more. I have an AS in Early Childhood Ed. I don't drive at all (my parents won't let me) They believe that my reflexes won't kick in in-time to avoid a collision with one of those crazy drivers on our roads (and we have an awful lot of them). I love to learn and to gain new knowledge and refresh old. I love to swim, read, write, exercise, children, dogs and other animals, going to church, singing, music, spending time with family, learning about many different subjects, among some other things. My favorite hobby is dancing. I always take at least one ballet class weekly, then add other styles around it. I can't every style all at once, but I sometimes alternate. I'm currently taking musical theater, tap, and modern in addition to ballet. In the past I've also done jazz, middle eastern, lyrical, and hip hop.
I have 1 dog named Oscar.
I live with Mother but I'm very self-sufficent, I just can't drive. (Wish I could, or wish she'd let me try)
Above all, I am a Christian and I love Jesus
