I'm 27 and haven't had a formal diagnosis of Asperger's, but believe I have it. A few years ago, during my postgraduate studies, I had been having email counselling and it was suggested by the counsellor that I may have Asperger's because of the way I expressed things and how I saw the world (I don't remember now what exactly I'd said). To be honest, while I knew of autism before then, I didn't know exactly what it was and when this was mentioned to me and I did some reading, I could identify many of the traits there. I always felt I was different to others around me and didn't know why. Recently, something in my life has changed and I decided to join this community as I could probably do with some help managing with AS (and eventually help others, too). I like the name of this place because it perfectly describes how I've felt most of my life
.
I hope that's not too lengthy an intro..
