Hi WesM82! Welcome to Wrong Planet! Check out the many interesting and helpful forums here. You are among friends here at WP!
The second Psych doc obviously doesn't have much experience with spectrum disorders. Any doc with any real experience in this area would know that there are many possible traits to have, but that no one person has them all. Rather, we each have a varied assortment of traits, and to varied levels of intensity. In other words, there really is no "typical" set of traits that we all will have.
I've felt alone almost my entire life, also. Here at WP, though, I have been able to find and hang out with my kind of people, so I feel less alone now.
At the same time, I am able to maintain the solitude that I developed a need for after failing to fit in with the NT world, so over all this has worked out good for me.
The people here mostly don't share my interests about non spectrum things, and I mostly don't share theirs, but that's okay. I don't want to live in a world of Stepford clones. That would be boring.
I hope you like WP. I do!
